The Pro Serve Cloud Architect (PCA) is a key member of the US Pro Serve team, responsible for driving the technical sales engagement, shaping solution architecture, and influencing revenue generation throughout the sales cycle. This role combines deep technical expertise with a consultative approach, working closely with sales teams to design and present Pro Serve solutions and offerings that meet customer needs, accelerate deal closure, and drive customers for life.

The PCA role has accountability in both pre‑sales and post‑sales, acting as our customer’s advocate for the transformational outcomes they are looking to achieve on AWS.

To achieve the desired outcomes for this role, the PCA works closely with customers to understand their business objectives and how technology will enable those outcomes. PCAs are responsible for solutioning during the pre‑sales motion, providing demonstrations, initial scoping and designing, and managing AWS solutions, providing technical guidance and best practices. PCAs have a deep understanding of AWS products and services, along with our partner (GSI/SI and ISV) solutions.

PCAs are skilled in consultative sales and architecting complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer.

They are responsible for leading the solution design to address customer business outcomes (CBO). They act as the conduit between Pro Serve Account Executives and Pro Serve Delivery Teams to ensure proposed solutions are realistic, achievable, and optimize Pro Serve and/or our partners to maximize CBOs. PCAs are often trusted advisors to our customers, providing guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions to address customer challenges.

PCAs share knowledge within the organization, through mentoring, training, creation of reusable artifacts and process improvements.

Key job responsibilities
  • Designing complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions to deliver customer business outcomes (CBOs)
  • Providing technical guidance and best practices during pre‑sales and implementation phases
  • Collaborating with Account Managers and Shared Delivery Teams to ensure proposed solutions are realistic and achievable
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Sharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, or 7+ years of professional or military experience
  • 5+ years of cloud and on‑premise integration experience
  • Experience with technology risk, IT security audit, compliance and/or relevant regulatory knowledge

    Experience managing and delivering large‑scale enterprise IT projects
  • Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in advanced technology, or AWS Professional level certification
  • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (like TOGAF, Zachman) and identifying the relationships between business services, information, applications and global infrastructure assets
  • Experience in performance optimization and cost management for cloud environments
  • Experience implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments
  • Knowledge of security and compliance standards including HIPAA and GDPR
  • Experience communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences in pre‑sales environments
  • Experience assessing customer marketplace circumstances, organizational readiness, and C‑Level willingness to initiate conversations that lead to broader strategic transformation programs.
