Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an experienced M365 & Collaboration Engineer to join a New York–based team supporting a large, global media organization. This individual will operate within a complex, enterprise scale environment and be responsible for the design, implementation, and full lifecycle support of collaboration products and services, including Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom, and broader unified communications solutions. The role will lead initiatives to enhance the scope, design, and implementation of collaboration and UC technologies, while developing and maintaining a scalable architecture aligned with the organization’s strategic roadmap.
This engineer will own end‑to‑end implementations while simultaneously acting as a solution architect across multiple concurrent initiatives, partnering closely with service delivery leads and business stakeholders to support technology assessments and solution planning. The role also includes participating in incident root‑cause analysis, remediation efforts, and proactive design improvements to increase reliability and prevent future failures, as well as driving optimization and advanced troubleshooting of collaboration platforms with a forward‑looking six‑month roadmap for enhancements and new features.

Skillsand Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Microsoft 365 architecture, design, and implementation.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365 products and services, such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, One Drive, Power Platform, etc.
- 7+ years experience programming including shell scripting (Power Shell).
- 5+ years of experience utilizing Azure services including designing and implementing cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure services, such as Azure Active Directory, Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Dev Ops, etc.
- Experience in enterprise design and implementing unified communications and collaboration solutions using Microsoft 365 products and services, such as Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, One Drive, and Power Platform.
- Experience in monitoring and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 issues and incidents and providing root‑cause analysis and resolution.
- Experience in security and compliance of the Microsoft 365 environment and implementing appropriate policies and controls.
- Collaborate with Cyber Security and vendors to integrate Microsoft 365 with other systems and applications.
- Experience in integration and interoperability of Microsoft 365 solutions with other cloud and on‑premises systems and applications.
- Experience in documenting the architecture, design, and configuration of Microsoft 365 solutions and providing training and knowledge transfer to the clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure the security, performance, scalability, availability, and reliability of cloud solutions and adhere to best practices and standards of cloud architecture.
- Strong understanding of basic networking concepts and internet protocols.
- Email and calendaring (Exchange, Outlook, Proofpoint).
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally to stakeholders and engineers.
- Ability to build effective cross‑functional relationships in support of delivering enterprise‑wide mobility solutions.
- Ability to execute within a fast‑paced agile process.
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a computer‑related field preferred or equivalent years of experience.
- Flexibility to work with varying hours, including overtime, nights, and weekends with minimal notice on a needed basis.
- Certification in Microsoft 365, such as Microsoft 365 Certified:
Enterprise Administrator Expert, Microsoft 365 Certified:
Teams Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified:
Security Administrator Associate, etc. - Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
