Overview
Amazon Web Services Professional Services (Pro Serve) team seeks a highly skilled Engagement Manager (EM) to lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects. The role combines technical expertise with strong project leadership to drive AWS-based implementations for clients. You bridge business requirements with technical solutions, facilitate technical discussions, and ensure alignment with customer outcomes. Applying AWS frameworks such as Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework, you transform customer needs into clear technical requirements, decompose complex problems, and make informed trade‑off decisions that balance performance, scalability, security, and business impact.
Key Job Responsibilities- Lead and manage complex cloud migration and implementation projects.
- Leverage comprehensive knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning.
- Bridge business requirements with technical solutions, facilitate engineering discussions, and ensure alignment with customer business outcomes.
- Distill customer needs into clear technical requirements and map them to business outcomes.
- Decompose complex technical problems into actionable, deliverable solutions.
- Contribute to technical documentation and define documentation standards.
- 5+ years of cloud computing experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
- 2+ years of leading multiple Agile teams (e.g., Scrum Masters, Product Owners) concurrently or at scale.
- 5+ years of leading and delivering enterprise‑level IT engagements.
- Experience in project management of technical programs.
- 5+ years of delivering customer engagements in a professional services role.
- Active project management certification (e.g., APM, CSM, PMI‑ACP, PRINCE2).
- AWS certification.
- Experience with Agile and project management toolsets such as Jira, Rally, Version One, or Taiga.
- Experience presenting to C‑level executives, IT, and business lines across organizations.
