Team Description

The Data Operations team provides oversight of the data generated throughout campaign delivery and performance optimization. They work with internal practice teams of Digital Analytics, Planning, and Digital Investment, ensuring that all digital media buys comply with organizational standards and are executed with proper inputs. The role requires a strong familiarity with analytics and technology tools, syndication and proprietary, and a mindset toward fostering processes through automation.

Role

Summary / Responsibilities

The Manager of Data Operations & Analytics serves as a strategic bridge between Digital Media, Analytics, and offshore technology teams, ensuring optimized campaign delivery and performance. Responsibilities include guiding data‑driven solutions, leveraging API connections, ETL/ELT processes, and data accuracy initiatives. The manager leads a team of analysts on high‑profile client engagements, collaborates with media planners, strategists, and media partners to monitor live campaign performance, and creates optimization recommendations.

Data

Ops Functions (70–75%)
  • Strategic Data Leadership: develop, implement, and maintain scalable data strategies, technical solutions, and data governance processes.
  • Team & Stakeholder

    Collaboration:

    liaise among digital, marketing science, analytics, investment teams, offshore resources, and external partners.
  • Project & Process Management: manage projects from requirements definition to completion, ensuring clear communication and timely delivery.
  • Data Operations & Quality Assurance: oversee data integrity and quality, lead data harmonization, cleansing, QA, and reconciliation.
  • Campaign Oversight: ensure processes are followed on all media channels, from programmatic to offline.
  • Innovation & Automation: drive adoption of latest data operations methodologies and leverage automation to increase efficiency.
  • Mentorship & Leadership: guide team members, promote collaboration, and champion learning.
Analytics Functions (25–30%)
  • Analyze data, extract insights, and story‑tell with visual aids to inform client portfolio strategy.
  • Ensure timely follow‑through on all scheduled and ad hoc deliverables.
Skills & Experience
  • 3–5 years’ experience in data operations and/or business intelligence.
  • 1–3 years’ experience in an advertising agency environment (analytics, ad operations, marketing sciences, digital investment, business analysis).
  • 3–5 years’ experience in digital media data (ad server, search, social, video, offline, etc.) and data governance.
  • 2+ years’ experience in client‑facing roles and managing project teams.
  • 3+ years of experience in media performance analysis.
  • In‑depth knowledge of processes across multiple media channels.
  • Familiarity with campaign management and performance optimization processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to resolve data anomalies.
  • Advanced verbal, written, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in process automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Business Intelligence:
    Advanced Excel (required), Tableau, Power

    BI, Datorama, Looker, Domo, PowerPoint.
  • Data Management & Transformation: ETL Tools (Adverity, Datorama), Alteryx, SQL, Python.
  • Data Storage/Cloud: AWS (Redshift, S3), Starburst.io, Snowflake, Domo.
  • Media Platforms: DCM, DV360, Google Ads, Double Verify, IAS, Trade Desk, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, Tik Tok, Prisma.
  • Project Management: HIVE, Asana, Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams.
  • Media Planning:
    Media Tools, Lumina, Hudson.
Compensation & Benefits

Pay range: $100,000—$120,000 USD. Benefits include health, vision, dental insurance, 401(k), healthcare flexible spending account, dependent care flexible spending account, vacation days, sick days, personal days, paid parental leave, paid medical leave, and STD/LTD insurance.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid: three (3) days per week in the office, two (2) days remote. The number of in‑office days may change over time to adjust to business needs.
