- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 11 years of experience in management consulting, product management and strategy, or analytics in a technology company.
- Experience working with and analyzing data, and managing multiple cross‑functional programs or projects.
- Experience leading teams on cross‑company initiatives and aligning recommendations with executive leadership.
- Advanced degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with R, SQL, spreadsheets, or similar analytics tools.
- Experience working with product and engineering teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.
Our roles often include components of strategy (analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (running the cadence of organizations, connecting operating lines between our functions), and communications. We partner with senior leadership to run important functions that cross‑cut our existing organizations and deliver high‑impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and other functions build amazing products that delight our users.
The Business Operations and Strategy team at Google is an internal consulting group tackling critical projects, focusing on driving AI enablement efforts. Responsibilities include shaping how we go to market with generative AI, defining and executing strategy on company‑wide priorities such as transforming Google into an AI‑native enterprise, developing monetization strategies across consumer and B2B products, and exploring moonshots for the next big idea.
The Core team builds the technical foundation behind flagship products, advocating for design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure. They break technical barriers and strengthen systems to improve user experiences and speed innovation.
US base salary range: $177,000-$257,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Salary determined by role, level, and location.
Responsibilities- Work with executive leadership to define, launch, drive, and operationalize initiatives.
- Structure and execute operational initiatives by developing work plans, gathering and synthesizing data, leading analyses, and delivering recommendations.
- Lead cross‑functional, global teams to provide direction on execution of tasks.
- Communicate findings to management and broader organization.
- Drive recommendations through implementation and measure results.
