The role in a nutshell We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with a strong background in project management to guide and support our agile development teams. This role will not only ensure adherence to Agile principles and best practices but will also oversee multiple projects, ensuring that they align with organizational objectives and deliver on time and within scope.

The Opportunity
  • Facilitate daily agile ceremonies, including scrums, stand-ups, and meetings to monitor project progress and resolve any issues the team may be experiencing.
  • Identify silos, find requirement gaps, and groom teams’ behaviour through excellent communication via the agile method.
  • Create project outlines and timelines and distribute responsibilities to team members.
  • Remove project obstacles and develop solutions with the team.
  • Ensure milestones are reached and deadlines are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build strong relationships with inside and outside stakeholders.
  • Document progress and communicate to management and stakeholders.
  • Generate and maintain JIRA reports to track progress and measure productivity.
  • Ensure transparency by maintaining visible product backlogs across departments and burn-down charts.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the hiring manager (Director of Technology) and prioritize tech debt, infrastructure, and cybersecurity initiatives alongside other business priorities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or related field
  • 5–7 years in a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager role managing multiple Agile teams and priorities
  • Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, etc.)
  • Familiarity with agile methods beyond ceremonies (e.g., Kanban, XP) is a plus
  • Servant leadership and continuous improvement mindset
  • Proactiveness in identifying and removing impediments
  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholders from team members to executives and effectively communicate the Scrum process and benefits
  • Expertise with agile tools – JIRA
Desirable
  • Knowledge of modern software development practices and procedures
  • Fixed income or Fintech experience is a plus
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) from Scrum Alliance, Professional Scrum Master (PSM) from Scrum.org, or equivalent

The base pay range for this position in New York is $130,000 - $160,000 annually. Pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Equity and year-end bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
