IT Project Manager, Systems Analyst
Position Overview
The Program Manager is a member of the Delivery team and responsible for knowing the "who, what, where, when and why" of both functional & technical details for the projects in their portfolio. This means engaging the key members of the project and being able to effectively communicate with each (both top down and bottom up). They are responsible for managing processes including scope, issues & risk management.
In addition to their project responsibilities, this team member will be involved in process review, audits of project documentation as well as communicating status and pulling together project SDLC related documentation for projects.

Responsibilities Project Planning- Build comprehensive end-to-end project plans from inception through to completion.
- Create project plans collaboratively with peers and colleagues.
- Capture business-facing milestones and critical path deliverables and track progress towards them.
- Work with Engineering Leads and Product Managers to refine business requirements into technical stories and tasks.
- Demonstrate effective project estimation using industry standard estimation methods (PDU, Story Points, Shirt Sizes, Complexity, etc.).
- Perform accurate capacity planning across sprint and increment perspectives.
- Focus on improving the team’s delivery capability, using retrospectives to identify lessons learned and tactical solutions.
- Evaluate strategic solutions for long-term process enhancements.
- Identify and analyze unanticipated risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure proactive risk avoidance.
- Document issues as they arise, implement mitigation strategies, and communicate impacts across affected projects.
- Demonstrate leadership and manage all responsibilities inherent to project management.
- Track sprint execution using Jira Scrum Boards, Structure, EazyBI reporting, and JQL queries.
- Engage daily with team members to ensure SDLC gates are delivered on time and deliverables are fit for purpose.
- Participate actively in the change management process, representing deliverables in change management forums.
- Set up the team for success, ensuring prerequisites are met before sprint items are added.
- Collaborate across work streams or pods to ensure successful delivery.
- Manage scope, risks & issues, resolving at the lowest level and escalating as needed.
- Assign tasks to project team members.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership within the organization.
- Effectively manage change requests and potential scope creep using data such as time, complexity & effort.
- Demonstrate ability to manage stakeholder relationships both upward and downward.
Should be fluent in both Agile & Waterfall methodologies, identify the appropriate project management process for each project, and apply fit-for-purpose solutions to manage projects from start to finish.
Skills- Proven track record of delivering complex products that include CRM and/or Reporting deliveries.
- Clear and defined leadership – ability to take charge, own a deliverable, and carry it through ideation to deployment.
- Leadership of teams through feature estimation and other standard SDLC ceremonies/practices.
- Identifying, scoping & developing ways to improve delivery capability of teams.
- Ability to manage risks and issues, resolving at the lowest level and escalating/communicating the approach when needed.
- Understanding impacts across teams and fostering collaborative work.
- Prior experience in Financial Services software development projects.
- Proven track record of successful delivery of complex, cross-workstream dependent projects.
- Experience in agile or iterative development work streams, applying best practices from Waterfall, SAFe, etc. when and where needed.
- Experience with Atlassian stack and industry best-of-breed tools, including:
- Jira, Confluence, Structure, EazyBI, Microsoft Suite
- Experience with AWS technology stack and Kafka is preferred.
