OverviewTrading Floor Voice Support Engineer to join a highly specialized IT Communications team supporting a fast‑paced financial services trading environment. This role is ideal for someone with hands‑on trading turret and VoIP support experience who wants to grow deeper into voice engineering, SIP infrastructure, and networking.
This is not a traditional desktop support or help desk role. The position is heavily focused on supporting mission‑critical trader voice systems, SIP/VoIP infrastructure, and unified communications technologies in a high‑availability environment where uptime is essential to business operations.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior communications and infrastructure leadership, gaining direct exposure to enterprise voice architecture, SIP migrations, trading turret platforms, and core networking technologies.
What You’ll Be Doing- Provide day‑to‑day support for trading floor voice infrastructure and trader communication systems
- Support and troubleshoot trading turret environments including IPC platforms and related voice technologies
- Troubleshoot SIP/VoIP call issues, RTP/media flow problems, and call routing issues
- Assist with ongoing migration initiatives from legacy TDM/T1 environments to SIP‑based infrastructure
- Support Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) administration and operational tasks
- Participate in trading turret platform standardization initiatives
- Work alongside networking and infrastructure teams on voice‑related network troubleshooting
- Support Session Border Controllers (SBCs) and integrations with modern voice platforms
- Perform MACD activities (Moves, Adds, Changes, Deletes) within CUCM and related systems
- Assist with operational support across LAN/WAN and voice network environments
- Provide occasional overflow desktop support coverage when needed

- Experience supporting trading floor voice environments within financial services
- Hands‑on experience with trading turret platforms such as IPC, BT, or Cloud9
- Strong understanding of SIP and VoIP fundamentals
- Ability to troubleshoot voice quality, call routing, and RTP/media flow issues
- Experience working within Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including VLANs, switches, and firewall awareness
- Strong troubleshooting mindset with the ability to diagnose issues logically and efficiently
- Ability to operate effectively in high‑pressure, front‑office support environments
- Experience with IPC IQ/MAX or IQ/MAX Touch platforms
- Exposure to SIP migrations or voice infrastructure modernization projects
- Experience supporting unified communications within financial trading environments
- Exposure to SBC administration and voice security concepts
- Understanding of voice/network interaction including QoS and firewall traversal
- Basic hands‑on experience with switches or firewall troubleshooting
- Direct mentorship from senior IT Communications leadership
