OverviewA leading global financial services firm is seeking a Trade Floor Support Analyst to join its infrastructure and communications support team in New York City. This is a highly specialized front-office support role focused on maintaining the voice and trading communications infrastructure that supports daily trading operations across the Americas region.
This is not a traditional desktop support or help desk position. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience supporting trading floor voice environments, including turret systems, SIP/VoIP technologies, and Cisco Unified Communications platforms in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments.
The role offers direct exposure to major infrastructure modernization initiatives, including large‑scale SIP migrations and global voice platform standardization efforts, with long‑term growth potential into voice engineering and network infrastructure responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide real‑time onsite support for front‑office trading personnel in a mission‑critical trading floor environment
- Troubleshoot and support trading turret platforms, including IPC systems (IQ/MAX, IQ/MAX Touch, Unigy) and BT turret environments
- Diagnose SIP and VoIP‑related issues, including call routing failures, RTP/media path problems, and PSTN connectivity issues
- Perform operational administration within Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), including moves, adds, changes, device provisioning, and line configuration
- Partner with networking teams to troubleshoot escalated voice and connectivity issues involving VLANs, switching, and firewall‑related traffic flow concerns
- Support trader workstations, peripherals, and multi‑monitor configurations as needed for overflow coverage
- Participate in ongoing voice infrastructure upgrades and migration initiatives across the enterprise
- Maintain a high level of responsiveness and professionalism in a fast‑paced, time‑sensitive trading environment
- Hands‑on experience supporting trading turret systems in a live trading floor environment
- Experience with IPC turret platforms and/or BT trading voice systems strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of SIP and VoIP technologies, including troubleshooting signaling and media path issues
- Experience administering Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) in an operational support capacity
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including VLANs, switching, and firewall concepts
- Experience supporting front‑office or trading floor users in high‑availability environments
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and escalation management skills
- Ability to work onsite five days per week in New York City
- Exposure to SIP migration or voice infrastructure modernization projects
- Experience working within financial services or capital markets environments
- Familiarity with voice recording systems, carrier connectivity, and telephony infrastructure
