Director, AI and Talent Innovation; Legal

Priori is seeking a Director, AI & Talent Innovation to lead both external AI initiatives (AI-enabled talent, training, certification, and best practices) and internal AI transformation efforts across Marketplace operations. This is a strategic operator role responsible for turning AI opportunity into measurable business impact, reporting directly to the CEO and partnering closely with leaders across Marketplace, Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations.

This is not a product or engineering role; we are seeking someone with a background in AI innovation for legal operations or law practice.

Responsibilities will include:

• Lead AI-enabled talent strategy, including designing and launching Priori’s AI-Enabled Counsel program with training, certification, and governance standards
• Identify, evaluate, and structure partnerships with leading legal AI providers, operationalizing those solutions within Priori’s Marketplace to enhance client outcomes, talent performance, and service delivery innovation
• Develop practical AI playbooks for key legal practice areas
• Establish responsible AI usage guidelines for independent legal talent
• Measure and scale performance improvements in speed, quality, and margin
• Support enterprise conversations where AI-enabled capability is a differentiator
• Advise leadership on long-term AI strategy and competitive positioning

You’re a great fit if you:

• Have 6+ years of experience in legal, legal operations, legal innovation, legal tech, or professional services transformation
• Are strongly familiar with in-house legal teams and/or flexible legal talent models
• Have experience building training, certification, or capability development programs
• Have hands-on familiarity with AI tools and workflow automation
• Possess a practical understanding of AI governance and risk mitigation
• Have a track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and driving measurable outcomes
• Are strategic but execution-focused, commercially minded, systems-oriented, and energized by building at the intersection of legal services and AI
