Kforce has a client that is seeking a Network Engineer in New York, NY. Overview:
This company is a privately held, full service real estate development, investment, and management firm that develops, owns, and manages more than 40 million square feet of office, residential, hotel, retail, and mixed‑use properties. The firm is best known for delivering large‑scale, complex redevelopment projects that enhance urban neighborhoods.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable network solutions using Cisco, Palo Alto, Meraki, and Aruba products across 15 properties
- Configure and deploy network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
- Integrate routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP to optimize network performance
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential issues to ensure uninterrupted services
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex network issues, including routing problems, firewall configurations, and security vulnerabilities
- Troubleshoot Layer 1, 2, and 3 network issues and optimize the performance of LAN/WAN environments
- Implement firewalls, VPNs, ACLs, NAT, syslog, and other security solutions to safeguard the network from threats
- Participate in regular network audits and security assessments
- Work closely with IT teams to ensure seamless integration and support of network infrastructure
- Communicate with clients and provide customer support while resolving Tier 2 and 3 network issues
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent level experience
- In-depth knowledge of IP addressing, RADIUS, IKE, ACL, NAT, QoS, and other key networking concepts
- Basic knowledge of AWS and Azure Cloud networking concepts
- Knowledge of ITIL processes, including Incident Management, Change Management, and Agile Project Management
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot Tier 2/3 network issues
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA)
- AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty
Pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
