Day Shift – 7.5 Hours (United States of America)

Responsibilities
  • Carry out responsibilities in accordance with Richmond University Medical Center’s policies and standards.
  • Maintain overall EMR support and work closely with RUMC’s IT team and vendors to ensure maximum uptime and quality support.
  • Identify and create resolutions to issues either reported or identified independently.
  • Independently review, analyze and modify configuration/programming to support hospital EMR system after the change management control form has been approved by the manager.
  • Oversee electronic medical record systems and related software applications for Richmond Health Network.
  • Create and maintain appropriate EMR documentation including templates, flow sheets, and care plans to support quality reporting and practice workflows.
  • Evaluate user requests for services and recommend solutions to address their business needs; document, track and follow up on all enhancement requests and system change requests for the supported modules.
  • Investigate, isolate and diagnose basic application problems, coordinating with other IT staff as necessary.
  • Oversee practices’ transition to new EMR systems; plan and schedule new installations; upgrade hardware and software components to clinical systems in coordination with technical operations staff.
  • Investigate and provide education to practices on EMR optimization, new features and services.
  • Provide technical support for standalone EMRs and/or networked systems and troubleshoot system problems.
  • Train end users to operate new or modified programs; develop end‑user training material as needed.
  • Construct and generate all reports to comply with regulatory mandates.
  • Prepare reports, attend meetings and document project status as requested.
Experience
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft applications such as Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience preferred (knowledge required).
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a health related field required.

Salary Range: $58,000 - $63,000
