ResponsibilitiesExpand and optimize data, data pipelines, data flow and collection for cross‑functional teams. Support software developers, database architects, data analysts, and data scientists related to data initiatives and ensure data design and delivery is consistent for business and technical efforts. Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements for greater scalability, optimize data delivery, and automate manual processes. Work with stakeholders to support data infrastructure needs and assist with data‑related technical design efforts.
Assemble large, complex data sets that meet non‑functional and functional business requirements. Build required infrastructure for optimal data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from multiple data sources using SQL technologies. Build analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline, providing actionable insight into key business performance metrics, including operational efficiency and customer acquisition. Work with data, design, and product stakeholder teams and executive teams and assist with resolving data‑related technical issues.
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering Management, Information Technology, or a related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus three (3) years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing data solutions to solve business and technical challenges within the annuity and financial services industries. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering Management, Information Technology, or a related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing data solutions to solve business and technical challenges within the annuity and financial services industries.
Experience must include at least two (2) years in each of the following skills:
- Writing annuity‑specific business applications to execute critical create, read, update, delete (CRUD) operations related to annuity data warehouses leveraging SQL, SQL Server, and Oracle relational databases.
- Creating database objects (including entities, attributes, constraints, relationships, and joins) and relational database designs to support future business enhancements to the annuity administration system database leveraging MySQL, SQL Server, and Amazon Dynamo
DB. - Providing fixed deferred annuities, variable deferred annuities, and immediate annuities and Oracle and SQL database technology subject matter expertise for existing database designs, data elements, and annuity administration systems operation.
- Generating metrics‑monitoring applications and dashboards to enable business and development teams to make data‑driven decisions, using Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, Postgre
SQL, Tableau, and Qlik. - Writing relational database management system queries leveraging DDL, DML, and DQL to retrieve current data and update the database to understand existing system behavior and support future business needs.
