Cartennas is hiring experienced IT Field Service Technicians to provide Onsite IT Field Services for our current business clients.
This is a 1099 opportunity for technicians currently performing field service work, independent contractors, former OEM technicians, or professionals looking to grow their service business. We are looking for experienced field technicians in Onsite IT Services including but not limited to break/fix services, hardware replacement, installations, deployments, printer repair, POS systems, networking, cabling, smart hands and onsite IT support.
This role requires travel to our business clients' locations for diagnosis, repair, installation, and resolution of technical issues.
1- Responsibilities
- Provide onsite break/fix support for desktops, laptops, printers, servers, POS systems, and network equipment.
- Perform hardware diagnostics and component replacement (LCDs, motherboards, hard drives, RAM, printers, etc.).
- Complete new equipment installations, rollout, and deployments.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity, structured cabling, and peripheral device issues.
- Support printer maintenance, toner systems, and multifunction devices.
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch, service delivery managers, and our business clients.
- Update work order notes, ETA status, and service completion details accurately.
- Follow client-specific scope of work and service procedures.
- Maintain professionalism while representing Cartennas at the business client premises.
- Compensation & Terms
- Hourly Rate: $32 to $62+ per hour
, depending on the specific project, number of hours onsite, technical complexity, and urgency of the assignment. - Project Quotes:
For specific rollout or deployments, you will be given a clear, flat project quote before you accept the work. - Payment
Terms:
Direct Deposit (ACH). Net 7 or Net 30 depending on the specific client program.
Compensation varies by client, scope of work, skill level, urgency, and geographic location.

- Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ year of onsite IT field service experience
Previous experience in one or more of the following:
- Desktop Support
- Printer Break/Fix
- Server Support
- Network Support
- Cabling / Low Voltage
- Hardware Deployment
- Device Installations
- Smart Hands Support
- Preferred Qualifications

- Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to travel to customer sites within assigned territory
- Must have your own tools to perform IT field service work

- Ability to pass business client required background checks when required
- Authorized to work in the United States
