Overview
Salesforce Futures, part of Corporate Strategy, anticipates and shapes the future through foresight. We are looking for a Senior Director to lead end‑to‑end futures work, driving strategic conversations with Salesforce leaders and customers.
Responsibilities- Help define the agenda for Salesforce Futures, setting strategic questions, horizons, and impact metrics.
- Partner across the organization to embed foresight into strategic decision‑making.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior Salesforce leaders and customer executives.
- Build operational rigor for scoping, producing, distributing, and assessing futures work.
- Cultivate and contribute to a network of thinkers inside and outside Salesforce.
- Lead end‑to‑end projects that develop original scenarios on strategic questions for Salesforce and customers.
- Create proprietary research methodologies synthesizing signals from academia, industry, and primary sources.
- Deliver work directly to executive audiences via keynotes, workshops, customer engagements, and analyst events.
- Contribute to published expressions of the team’s thinking through articles, reports, and presentations.
- Enable others across Salesforce to communicate futures where the team can’t engage directly.
- Build prototypes, simulations, interactive artifacts, and software to help executives experience future scenarios.
- Use AI tools fluently in practice, applying them to daily work and evolving tools.
- Treat the future of futures as a dynamic question, evolving scenario planning and narrative tools for an intelligent world.
- 12+ years in scenarios, foresight, corporate strategy, or adjacent fields with deep fluency in corporate strategy models.
- Track record working closely with C‑suite executives or leading organizations directly.
- Cross‑industry pattern recognition across at least four industries and three global regions.
- A builder – produce decks, prototypes, software, simulations, and written artifacts without outsourcing.
- Daily fluent use of AI tools with a developed sense of when they help or don’t.Extensive experience delivering executive communications, with confidence in keynotes and workshops.
- Curious, analytical, and well‑read, offering original insight rather than synthesis.
- Advanced degree preferred, or equivalent practical experience; familiarity with Salesforce brand and ecosystem a plus.
