Data Analyst, Database Administrator
Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Data Analyst, Financial Data Governance and Quality. The successful candidate reports to the Assistant Manager, Financial Data Governance and Quality and will maintain and analyze data within People Soft and other financial enterprise applications, including approval workflow hierarchy management, troubleshooting workflow issues, building queries, data metrics gathering, and data cleanup.
Job Responsibilities- Provide customer support and resolve Salesforce tickets or emails related to People Soft, including approval workflow and security for enterprise reporting tools.
- Perform user security administration for financial reporting applications (e.g., People Soft Business Intelligence).
- Perform User Acceptance Testing for People Soft upgrades, enhancements, and defects related to People Soft Authorization and other modules as assigned.
- Analyze and perform data updates to People Soft Authorization master data.
- Monitor new chartstring creation and assign workflow approvers as appropriate.
- Perform routine reviews of terminated users and department change reports in People Soft Authorization and coordinate with departments to update accordingly.
- Collect and analyze financial data and assist the Assistant Manager in creating definitions, standards, and consistency in use of financial data across the institution.
- Establish a master data dictionary of PS tables and assist in securely administering PSF data connections.
- Support ad‑hoc data queries and reports as needed by Management/Leadership.
- Become the subject‑matter expert of data analytic applications for the data Management/Governance teams and assist with streamlining existing processes using data analytics tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Manager.
Bachelor's degree with a major in a business subject (accounting, finance, economics) or information systems/technology and a minimum of 1‑2 years of related work experience.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication with various audiences.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient in Excel and SQL.
- Past working experience with ERP environments, especially People Soft, is a plus.
- Work experience as an analyst working with data mining, reporting, or systems.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range for the role of $58,500.00 – $69,970.78 annually. Actual salaries depend on experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
