Responsibilities
  • Provide technical and project management services in the design, implementation, and maintenance of information technology systems to support NYP’s clinical, administrative, and financial operations across all hospital campuses.
  • Lead cross‑functional security initiatives, programs, or projects to deliver security outcomes in areas such as security operations, identity and access management, security architecture, vulnerability management, governance, risk, and compliance, operational technology (OT)/medical device security, and software development.
  • Translate business requirements into technical deliverables and prioritized product backlogs; identify and mitigate technical risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks in software delivery.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication for security projects.
  • Lead iterative development, backlog grooming, sprint planning, release management and ensure security, compliance, and privacy considerations in software development.
  • Develop and deliver roadmaps, metrics, KPIs, executive reporting and influence executive stakeholders with business‑oriented risk communication.
  • Manage cross‑functional engineering teams, third‑party vendors, and security deliverables.
  • Establish repeatable processes, improve program maturity and maintain milestone commitments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • PMP Certification.
  • 2+ years leading cross‑functional security initiatives, programs, or projects.
  • Experience delivering security outcomes in one or more areas: security operations; identity and access management; security architecture; vulnerability management; governance, risk, and compliance; operational technology (OT)/medical device security; software development.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical deliverables and prioritized product backlogs.
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices including code quality, testing strategies and version control.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate technical risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks in software delivery.
  • Experience managing budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for security projects.
  • Ability to lead iterative development, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release management processes.
  • Experience with security, compliance, and privacy considerations in software development.
  • Demonstrated experience influencing executive stakeholders and communicating risk in business terms.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, with ability to communicate effectively between technical teams and executive leadership.
  • Experience leading through ambiguity and managing priorities across technical and non‑technical teams.
  • Experience working with third‑party vendors and managing security deliverables.
  • Experience developing roadmaps, metrics, KPIs, and executive reporting.
  • Strong project and program management experience using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methods.
  • Strong ability to independently execute security initiatives and projects end‑to‑end while managing competing priorities and maintaining milestone commitments.
  • Experience establishing repeatable processes and improving program maturity.
  • Strong facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Proven experience leading end‑to‑end delivery of modern software products using Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Dev Ops methodologies.
  • General understanding of modern software architectures (microservices, serverless, event‑driven systems, REST/Graph

    QL APIs).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross‑functional engineering teams.
  • Proficiency in managing software development lifecycle (SDLC) tools such as Jira, Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub, or similar.
Required Qualifications
  • Three to five years of previous work‑related experience.
  • Two years of project management experience.
  • Familiarity with clinical workflow and medical administration.
  • Experience with system design and analysis.
Additional Information

All roles require on‑site presence; therefore, employees must live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse travel expenses.

Salary Range: $100,000 – $167,000 per year.
