AWS Engagement Managers seek to understand customers’ needs, missions, and success criteria, and ensure that we exceed expectations in developing and delivering solutions. As an Engagement Manager, you will collaborate across roles to define project goals, lead peers or teams, guide customers through their cloud journey, and use agile delivery methodology to manage scope, schedule, and cost.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with AWS members, customer stakeholders, and vendors to create and execute a project plan.
- Identify and mitigate execution limitations.
- Leverage AWS mechanisms to help customers envision strategic goals and requirements.
- Lead project teams consisting of business and technical resources while managing scope, schedule, and cost.
- Use management and leadership capabilities to execute project plans, resolve issues, and manage client expectations.
- Exceed customer expectations by enabling stakeholder capabilities and increasing cloud adoption.
- Plan, organize, and manage all phases of a project lifecycle, including capturing requirements, developing governance plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, and success criteria.
- Align goals across stakeholder groups, including customers, internal teams, and partners.
- Create and deliver communications tailored to the audience, from executive updates to sprint plans and financial reports.
- Apply judgment and tact to challenge, recommend, and redirect teams and manage client expectations during the engagement.
- Serve as a strategic business partner to help customers achieve mission outcomes and drive innovation throughout the engagement life cycle.
- Act as a partner for the AWS Account, Support, and Service teams to convey customer and partner feedback and lessons learned to improve AWS products and services.
- Travel to client locations and deliver professional services as needed.

- Enjoy working with State Local Government and Education customers to envision transformational cloud initiatives.
- Passionate about educating, training, designing, and building cloud solutions for diverse and challenging customers.
- 2+ years of leading multiple Agile teams (e.g., Scrum Masters, Product Owners) concurrently.
- 5+ years of cloud computing experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
- Knowledge of the value proposition of the public cloud and cloud engagement delivery (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
- Experience in leading and delivering enterprise‑level IT engagements.
- 5+ years of delivering customer engagements in a professional services role.
- Active project management certification (e.g., APM, CSM, PMI‑ACP, PRINCE2).
- AWS certification.
- Experience with Agile and project management toolsets like Jira, Rally, Version One, or Taiga.
- Experience working with and presenting to C‑level executives, IT, and lines of business across organizations.

Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
