Intern, Vulnerability Management

** Intern, Vulnerability Management
** to assist the global Vulnerability Management team under the Corporate Information Security Department (CISD) located in
** Reston, VA
** for the 2026 summer internship program. This incumbent will help in creating and testing global configuration standards for the various components of the Vulnerability Management tool suite. This is a position for those interested in pursuing a career in information security while getting hands on experience in the operation and configuration of industry standard security tools.  We are looking for a candidate with technology and writing skills that can be applied to the creation and evaluation of a set of technical standards for use globally throughout the company.  

The CISD summer internship program is designed to provide skills, knowledge, and hands-on work experience in the information security and privacy industry, supporting the personal growth of our interns as well as Sony business results.

** Maintain knowledge of outstanding and existing vulnerability management issues.

* Qualifications:

* * Current student pursuing a bachelors or master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
* Passionate about coding and automation
* All candidates must be authorized to work in the USA
* The hourly rate for this internship depends on education level: $24.00 per hour for undergraduate candidates and $25.00–$27.00 per hour for graduate candidates. The individual will be paid hourly and eligible for overtime.
* Strong written communication skills Strong organizational skills Detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and quickly apply new concepts to accomplish assignments

Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills Previous experience through work or internship preferred#
