About the Role
Lead the Production Orchestration team to ensure availability, reliability, and scalability of Cockroach
DB production services, driving automation, AI adoption, and architectural changes.
- Own operational excellence, SLAs, and incident response.
- Drive automation and tooling to reduce operational toil.
- Lead architectural initiatives for fleet operations.
- Adopt AI-driven approaches for development and operations.
- Coach and develop engineers; manage performance and growth.
- Engineering management experience leading production/on-call teams.
- Strong background in reliability, scalability, and operations.
- Experience with automation, observability, and incident response.
- Familiarity applying AI to operational workflows.
- Ability to collaborate across global teams and time zones.
