IT Helpdesk Support Specialist
Location: On-site - Wappingers Falls, NY (5 days/week)
Schedule: 35 hours/week
Pay Rate: $22/hour

About the Role
This is an opportunity to join a white-glove helpdesk team supporting a nationally recognized, mission-driven organization that develops advanced patient simulation technology used to train healthcare professionals and students. Their products create highly realistic training environments that help improve clinical outcomes, reduce errors, and ultimately save lives.
While this is a helpdesk-focused role, the environment itself is unique. The organization supports high-value, Windows-based systems that rely heavily on stable network connectivity, so many support requests tie into real-time troubleshooting across user devices, applications, and connectivity. It's a strong setting for someone looking to build well-rounded helpdesk experience in a more specialized IT environment.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Provide Tier 1 helpdesk support to internal users in a high-touch, white-glove environment
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network/connectivity issues
  • Support Windows workstations, Office 365, email, and user account management
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding, including provisioning accounts and preparing equipment
  • Handle support tickets related to system access, performance issues, and connectivity concerns
  • Log, track, and update tickets in a ticketing system
  • Escalate more complex issues to Tier 2/3 support when needed
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism when supporting end users
What We're Looking For
  • Prior hands-on experience in IT support, helpdesk, or a technical support environment (internship, contract role, or full-time experience)
  • Working knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365, and basic networking/troubleshooting concepts
  • Comfortable supporting end users in a professional setting
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical issues clearly
  • Ability to work on-site in Wappingers Falls, NY, five days per week
Nice to Have (Not Required)
  • Associate degree or relevant IT coursework
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or similar
  • Experience using a ticketing system
  • Exposure to a corporate or regulated IT environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
