Location: New York

A venture-backed technology company developing AI-native infrastructure for next-generation web interaction is seeking a highly technical Sales Engineer to join its early go-to-market team in the US.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role suited to someone who can combine technical depth, customer-facing communication, and commercial awareness. You will own the technical side of the sales process, working closely with founders, Account Executives, customers, design partners, product, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities
  • Lead technical discovery with prospects and customers to understand complex workflows, use cases, and technical requirements.
  • Design and support technical POCs, pilots, and customer evaluations.
  • Build lightweight demos, prototypes, scripts, integrations, and proof‑of‑concepts to show how the product solves customer problems.
  • Support customers through pre‑sales, technical validation, onboarding, and early implementation.
  • Partner with sales and founders to move complex technical opportunities forward.
  • Translate customer feedback into clear product and engineering insights.
  • Create reusable demo assets, technical collateral, and sales enablement materials.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineering, Developer Advocacy, Technical Account Management, or another customer‑facing technical role.
  • Strong technical fluency with APIs, SDKs, developer tools, cloud infrastructure, automation platforms, or AI products.
  • Hands‑on ability to build demos, scripts, integrations, prototypes, workflows, or technical POCs.
  • Strong preference for experience with Playwright or Puppeteer;
    Selenium or similar tools are also relevant.
  • Ability to lead technical discovery and communicate clearly with both engineering and business stakeholders.
  • Comfort supporting the full customer journey from pre‑sales through POC, onboarding, and implementation.
  • Strong problem‑solving ability and confidence debugging technical issues or coordinating with engineering teams.
  • High ownership, independence, and comfort working in an early‑stage, zero‑to‑one environment.
  • Based in New York City or elsewhere on the US East Coast.
