Forward Deployed Engineer

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $150,000 – $200,000 USD per year

We are seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with enterprise customers to deploy, integrate, and operationalize AI systems in real-world production environments.

This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, infrastructure, customer deployment, and AI reliability. You will collaborate closely with customer engineering teams to integrate AI platforms into complex enterprise ecosystems while helping organizations navigate operational, governance, security, compliance, and technical challenges associated with deploying AI at scale.

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will serve as a trusted technical partner to customers and act as a bridge between customer stakeholders and internal product and engineering teams.

• Deploy and integrate AI platforms within enterprise production environments.
• Design and implement integrations across APIs, infrastructure, enterprise workflows, and governance systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex deployment and integration challenges.
• Partner directly with customer engineering, infrastructure, security, compliance, and operations teams.
• Translate customer deployment challenges into actionable feedback for internal product and engineering teams.
• Support AI governance, evaluation, and production approval workflows.
• Develop and improve deployment best practices and implementation playbooks.
• Ensure deployed solutions meet enterprise requirements for reliability, scalability, security, and compliance.

• 3–8 years of professional experience after completing an undergraduate degree.
• Strong experience with distributed systems.
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience working with APIs and enterprise integrations.
• Background as an Infrastructure Engineer, Platform Engineer, or Dev Ops Engineer.
• Experience working in startups, technology companies, or technical consulting environments.
• Customer‑facing experience in implementation, deployment, solutions engineering, or related technical roles.
• Strong scripting and automation skills.
• Ability to read, understand, and modify production‑level code.
• Ability to operate independently in complex technical and organizational environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working directly with engineering, security, and compliance teams.
• Ability to work within US East Coast or UK business hours.
• Availability for occasional evening calls to collaborate with globally distributed teams.

• Master's degree or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI infrastructure, or model deployment.
• Experience working in regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, insurance, or government.
• Familiarity with enterprise security, governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
• Experience with AI evaluation frameworks, guardrails, observability, and monitoring solutions.
• Previous experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Implementation Engineer.
• Experience supporting enterprise‑scale deployments and customer implementations.
