Colgate Palmolive Global Security Organization is seeking a highly skilled Physical Security Systems Manager/Engineer to protect CP facilities and personnel around the world. This role within the Global Security Organization is responsible for leveraging technology to guard against security risks within the workplace. The core function involves the daily operation, maintenance, and upgrade of global physical security and prevention systems (Prowwatch, Maxpro, Avigilon, and Gallagher), including VMS, access control, biometric, and Physical Identity Access Management (PIAM) applications.
The engineer is critical for leading and maintaining the efficient, secure, and reliable operation of large-scale access control environments.
- Strategic Portfolio Leadership: Direct the global physical security technology portfolio, acting as the primary technical liaison between Global IT, Global Engineering, and external vendors.
- Team & Vendor Management: Supervise a Security Technology Specialist alongside third-party contractors, and manage vendor relationships for technical support, issue resolution, and R&D integrations.
- Application & System Lifecycle: Oversee upgrades, configuration changes, and feature enhancements for the global security suite, including access control, biometrics, PIAM, and lobby kiosks.
- Security, Compliance & Documentation: Ensure system compliance by managing application rules, access privileges, and playbooks, while thoroughly documenting workflows and configuration changes for audit readiness.
- System Health & Optimization: Conduct regular global system health checks to ensure stability, optimize software capabilities, and establish rigorous testing and validation procedures.
- Advanced Troubleshooting & Support: Resolve complex platform integration and connectivity issues, analyze root causes, and provide expert technical support alongside incident reporting for management.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
4 + years of experience leading security technology teams or projects.
8+ years of physical security systems management, programming, and technical/application support experience.
Hands-on experience with enterprise video management and access control, biometric, or PIAM applications.
Experienced in one or more programming languages, such as scripting, and proficiency in SQL database open connectivity development.
Experienced in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale distributed applications & systems, or extensive experience in databases, operating systems, and server management.
Preferred QualificationsCertifications or specialized training on relevant access control and PIAM platforms (e.g., Prowatch, Maxpro, Avigilon, Gallagher).
Experience supporting physical security systems at hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise corporate sites.
Familiarity with security compliance requirements and audit practices.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
Highly self-motivated, able to proactively identify problems, and promote the continuous development and progress of related projects.
Compensation and BenefitsSalary Range $ - $ USD.
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
