Burson is seeking a Director to join our Insights, Data and Intelligence team. This unique and highly specialized role will drive strategic insights work supporting some of the most impactful Jewish organizations and advocacy groups. It is an opportunity to operate at the intersection of data, culture, and communications, leading high‑impact work that shapes narratives, informs strategy, and brings clarity to complex dynamics within global Jewish communities.
What you’ll do:- Lead end‑to‑end insights engagements, overseeing data collection, analysis, and synthesis across projects focused on Jewish communities and related topics.
- Be responsible for managing the execution and implementation of custom qualitative and quantitative research and consulting projects, including designing research projects, writing proposals, managing all phases, supervising analysts, ensuring accurate and timely delivery, and providing status updates to the client.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to Jewish non‑profit and advocacy groups, translating complex data and cultural signals into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Own and direct media monitoring, social listening, and intelligence programs, identifying emerging trends, risks, and opportunities using platforms such as Brandwatch, Sprinklr, and News Whip.
- Guide the development of high‑quality deliverables, including executive‑level reports, narrative briefs, and strategic presentations.
- Oversee and mentor junior team members, providing direction on methodologies, analysis, and storytelling best practices.
- Ensure accuracy, rigor, and strategic consistency across all deliverables and outputs.
- Contribute to the growth of the practice by identifying new opportunities, refining methodologies, and strengthening client relationships.
- 7+ years of experience in analytics, market research and insights, communications strategy, and/or a related field (agency or in‑house).
- Demonstrated experience leading research projects and managing client relationships in fast‑paced, high‑stakes environments.
- Expertise in media intelligence, social listening, and analytics tools (e.g., Brandwatch, Sprinklr, News Whip, Meltwater, etc.) is a plus.
- Deep understanding of the diversity within Jewish communities, including key organizations, cultural nuances, and advocacy landscapes.
- Proven ability to synthesize complex data into compelling narratives for senior stakeholders and executive audiences.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience navigating sensitive, nuanced, or highly visible topics.
- Experience mentoring or managing junior team members and contributing to team development.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with dashboards, data visualization, and emerging AI/LLM tools is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously while maintaining high standards for quality and detail.
- Collaborative, proactive, and solutions‑oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
- Bonus: Fluency in Hebrew or other languages relevant to global Jewish communities (e.g., Yiddish).
The base salary for this position may range between $60,000 and $140,000 USD.
