Job Description – Pharma Domain Consultant Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Pharma Domain Consultant to help design and build a best-in-class Marketing Technology Experience. The ideal candidate brings deep pharmaceutical industry knowledge, hands‑on experience with Mar Tech platforms, and a strong analytics background. This is a strategic advisory role for someone who has built measurement programs from the ground up and thrives in complex, data‑rich environments.
RequiredSkills & Experience Pharmaceutical Industry Expertise
- 15+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, spanning brand strategy, commercial operations, or analytics
- Deep understanding of the pharma commercial landscape — HCP engagement, patient journey mapping, payer dynamics, and regulatory environment
- Experience working across multiple therapeutic areas and drug lifecycle stages (pre-launch, launch, growth, maturity)
- Familiarity with specialty and rare disease commercial models is a strong advantage
- Strong relationships or network within pharma data and analytics communities
- Hands‑on experience with pharma Mar Tech stacks — CRM, omnichannel engagement platforms, CDPs, and data clean rooms
- Familiarity with key pharma platforms such as Veeva CRM, Salesforce Health Cloud, or equivalent
- Understanding of data governance and compliance requirements in pharma digital marketing (HIPAA, GDPR, MLR review)
- Ability to assess, recommend, and advise on Mar Tech stack design and vendor selection
- Experience integrating marketing platforms with enterprise data infrastructure (e.g. Databricks, Snowflake, or similar cloud data platforms)
- Strong quantitative background — comfortable with statistical analysis, data modelling, and campaign performance measurement
- Experience with dashboarding and reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar)
- Ability to design and interpret A/B tests, cohort analyses, and funnel metrics in a pharma marketing context
- Skilled at synthesising complex data into clear, commercially relevant narratives for non‑technical stakeholders
- Experience working with third‑party pharma data sources (IQVIA, Symphony Health, claims data, etc.)
- Proven experience building marketing measurement frameworks end‑to‑end — not just contributing to them
- Ability to design KPI architectures from scratch, including leading, lagging, and bridging indicators
- Experience developing attribution models for multi‑channel pharma marketing campaigns
- Skilled in translating business objectives into measurable outcomes and actionable insights
- Track record of presenting measurement frameworks to senior commercial and marketing leadership
- Experienced in Marketing Analytics, Commercial Excellence Lead, or Senior Analytics Consultant in pharma
- Has delivered measurement frameworks at both large pharma and specialty/biotech organisations
- Comfortable operating at the intersection of strategy, data, and technology
- Equally effective in a whiteboard workshop with brand teams as in a data infrastructure conversation with engineers
- Strong communicator who can influence without authority across cross‑functional teams
