Systems Administrator; Mid​/Senior Level

Infrastructure & IT Operations | Advertising & Episodic VFX Studio

Location: New York, NY 10001 (Hybrid)

Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 annually

We're seeking a hands-on Systems Administrator to support and evolve our studio infrastructure across Linux, Windows, and macOS environments. You'll help keep our production pipeline running smoothly for both on-site teams and remote artists while contributing to automation and infrastructure improvements.

• Support and resolve infrastructure issues across Linux, Windows, and macOS environments.
• Administer core studio systems including storage, networking, compute, and user management.
• Manage onboarding, offboarding, access provisioning, and workstation deployment.
• Support artists and staff across active productions, both onsite and remote.
• Contribute to infrastructure improvements, automation initiatives, and system documentation.
• Mentor junior team members and help maintain a collaborative team culture.

• Linux (RHEL, Rocky, Ubuntu), Windows Server, Active Directory, and macOS administration.
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls).
• Storage systems, backup and disaster recovery.
• Scripting and automation with Python and Bash.
• Experience with Git and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

• VFX, animation, broadcast, gaming, or post-production environments.
• Render farm management and remote artist support.
• Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and monitoring tools such as Grafana or Prometheus.
• Experience building internal tools and workflow automation.
