Location: New York
NYU Grossman School of Medicine, part of NYU Langone Health, offers a Data Analyst (FGP) – Radiology position that supports department-wide data collection, analysis, distribution, governance, and strategic initiatives.
Position SummaryThe role reports to the Manager of Data Analytics and involves developing and managing databases, designing data collection methods, performing statistical analysis, creating reports, and visualizing insights for departmental leadership.
Job Responsibilities- Extract data from the medical center’s data warehouse via Azure Databricks.
- Create and maintain complex SQL code and stored procedures to feed and refresh data models.
- Compile, manage, and analyze data, presenting results in numerical and graphic formats.
- Assist department leadership with process analysis, problem identification, root‑cause analysis, organizational analysis, and recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinate and facilitate consistent analytical approaches within the department.
- Share best practices and analytical approaches.
- Provide data for operational improvements.
- Create dashboards with Tableau for end stakeholders to support decision‑making and performance monitoring.
- Manage and improve existing databases and develop programs, methodologies, and files for data presentation.
- Analyze and present clinical, administrative, and operational data, supporting ad‑hoc and standing requests.
- Research new data sources and analytical tools/methodologies to support product development and delivery.
- Assist leadership in developing the Department of Radiology.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in data analytics.
- Support adherence to NYU Langone Health data policies and procedures.
- Act as liaison between the department and the broader data science community within and outside NYU.
- Stay current with data science technologies and best practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Public Health, Computer or Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- 1‑2+ years of experience writing complex SQL, including joins, subqueries, and aggregation.
- 1+ year of experience in data analytics with Tableau, creating concise reports based on management specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Attention to detail in data visualization and strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Public Health, Computer or Systems Engineering, or a related field.

SalarySalary range: $70,481.61 – $ annually.
