Overview

TRC is seeking an experienced Technology Project Manager to support the delivery of digital platforms and client solutions for our Advanced Energy programs in the utility industry. The ideal candidate has a strong background in agile methodologies and a proven track record of delivering IT projects from planning through release and maintenance. This role blends traditional project management with Agile product delivery.

The ideal candidate is comfortable coordinating client‑facing initiatives while also facilitating Scrum‑based development teams to deliver iterative improvements to internal technology platforms. You will work closely with Development, Operations, and Product Management teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively, while providing exceptional service to external clients and positioning the Advanced Energy Technology team as a trusted implementation partner to internal stakeholders.

You will support the transition from project‑based delivery to product‑oriented development by helping teams prioritize work, monitoring backlogs, managing budgets, resources, and risks, and delivering incremental value through regular software releases.

Responsibilities
  • Lead agile project teams using Scrum methodology to deliver high‑quality software solutions.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle, from planning and development to implementation and releases for multiple programs and products.
  • Create and maintain project plans, work plans, and release schedules for agile software projects.
  • Organize and facilitate daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and other Scrum ceremonies.
  • Drive the flow of work, remove impediments, monitor team velocity, and ensure release readiness.
  • Collaborate with Product Owner(s) and development teams to understand impacts on capacity, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Proactively maintain well‑defined backlogs to identify and resolve any requirements, resource, or infrastructure gaps to ensure upcoming work is clearly defined and ready for execution prior to the start of each sprint.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates on project status, presentations, and technical insights.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle, implementing control processes for scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Monitor project milestones and progress, taking corrective action as needed to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
  • Remove blockers across teams to maintain productivity.
  • Coordinate and ensure completion of all deliverables for software releases.

Maintain a high standard of professional conduct and leadership, setting a positive example.
