Our client, a leading financial services company is hiring a Sr. Data Business Analyst on a long-term contract basis.

Work Location:

New York, NY- 3 days onsite and 2 days REMOTE. Must be local to the New York, NY area.

Responsibilities:

• Can apply analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information.
• Deals with most problems proactively and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid grasp of industry standards and practices.
• Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact.
• Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner.
• Can be moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.

Required Skills:

• 10+ years Data business analysis experience and expertise in Agile/Scrum Methodologies
• 7+ years finance domain experience with knowledge of client financial metrics
  - RoTCE (return on tangible common equity), etc.
• Exposure to stakeholder and senior levels of management communication
• Proficiency in Tools like JIRA, Confluence
• 7+ years of experience within Banking & Financial Services industry in business analysis, functional design and documentation.
• Strong communication and presentation skills and ability to explain technical details in a clear, concise manner.
• Experience in preparing presentations and ability to handle communication at senior levels of management.
• Excellent technical writing skills, capable of producing high quality requirements documents.
• Expert in Agile/Scrum Methodologies and Tools like JIRA, Confluence, Project Management, Release Management etc.
• Experience with querying, analytics, and reporting in MSaaS/Mongo Db/Hive databases.
• Conduct In depth data analysis using tools like SQL or Python or Bigdata.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) with extensive experience using Excel for data analysis
• Experience in Client financial metrics is a plus
• Experience in working with data related projects is a plus

Education:

• Bachelors/University degree (BE/BTech/ME/MTech) or equivalent
• MBA in Finance or Financial Certification is a big plus

Pay: $75-$77 per hour
