Job Title:
Oracle HCM Techno-Functional Architect Role Summary
The Oracle HCM Techno-Functional Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Oracle HCM Cloud solutions by bridging business requirements with technical architecture. This role requires deep expertise in Oracle HCM modules along with strong technical capabilities in integrations, reporting, and extensions. The architect ensures scalable, secure, and efficient HCM solutions aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end solution design for Oracle HCM Cloud (Core HR, Talent, Payroll, Benefits, Absence, Compensation, Recruiting, etc.)
- Define scalable architecture frameworks and best practices
- Translating business needs into functional and technical solutions
- Provide architectural governance and design approvals
- Work independently on projects and lead the teams on architectural decisions
- Should have hands on experience and expertise in Data Loads, Fast Formulas, BI Reporting and HCM functionality
- Work with business stakeholders to drive requirement gathering, solution design workshops, and functional specifications
- Provide guidance on Oracle HCM best practices and product capabilities
- Lead full lifecycle implementations/enhancements
- Configure Oracle HCM modules and lead technical development
- Ensure high-quality deliverables within timelines
- Support data migration, testing (SIT/UAT), and cutover activities
- Design and oversee integrations using:
- HCM Extracts
- Fast Formula
- HDL (HCM Data Loader)
- REST/SOAP APIs
- Ensure seamless integration with third-party systems (Payroll, Benefits vendors, Identity systems)
- Optimize system performance and troubleshoot technical issues
- OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence)
- BI Publisher
- HCM Extracts
- Deliver dashboards and analytics aligned with business KPIs
- Ensure adherence to data security, privacy, and compliance standards
- Establish coding, integration, and configuration standards
- Manage system upgrades and releases
- Engage with HR leadership, IT teams, and business stakeholders
- Communicate architecture decisions and risks clearly
- Provide strategic recommendations for HCM transformation
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, HR, Business, or related field
- 10–15+ years of experience, including:
- 8+ years in Oracle HCM Cloud implementations
- Experience as a solution/technical architect
- Strong knowledge of HCM business processes (Hire-to-Retire lifecycle)
- Core HR, Talent Management, Compensation, Benefits, Absence
- Payroll (preferably US, UK, or global payroll exposure)
- Recruiting (ORC) and Learning modules
- HCM Data Loader (HDL), HCM Extracts
- Fast Formula
- BI Publisher, OTBI
- REST & SOAP APIs
- SQL basics and data modeling knowledge
- Dev Ops / CI-CD practices (nice to have)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Leadership and mentoring ability
- Strategic thinking with hands-on execution capability
- Ability to work in fast-paced, global environments
- Exposure to other HR systems (Workday, SAP Success Factors)
