NLP Engineer

Role / Responsibilities

We are seeking an NLP engineer to join a quant research team within Point
72. The ideal candidate has a track record of developing modern NLP solutions, including the use of LLMs, agents, RAG, etc.

We believe the investment world offers unique opportunities to use modern NLP methods.

• Exploring and combining rich internal and external textual datasets
• Formulating research hypothesis to derive alpha
• Building GenAI solutions, leveraging both internal models and external APIs

• Bachelor, Master’s or PhD degree in computer science or another quantitative discipline.
• Experience in NLP, particularly LLMs.
• Proficient in Python, SQL and general software engineering principles (Git Hub, testing, etc.).
• Data science stack familiarity.
• Interest in financial markets.
• Collaborative mindset.
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards.

The annual base salary range for this role is $150,000-$250,000 (USD), which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
