The Finance Decision Optimization team is responsible for delivering cutting‑edge models and technology solutions, optimizing Finance processes, and driving strategic growth across all Chase’s consumer facing lines of business. A part of this team is comprised of product and analytics professionals that partner across Chase’s business, software development, and modeling teams to execute the implementation of pricing AI/ML models that will power the future of pricing for all of Chase’s consumer products.

This position will support Chase’s Auto Finance business – one of the largest Auto lenders in the country.

As a Senior Quantitative Analytics Associate on the Finance Decision Optimization team, you will be engaged in all phases of the model lifecycle, including requirements gathering, analysis scoping, data development, hypothesis development, model performance and explainability reporting. Our team’s mandate ranges from data discovery to model sensitivity analysis to prescriptive analytics. The common theme here is the intersection of data science, business judgment and collaboration to continue improving our products.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Support and lead partnerships with Area Product Owner and product delivery teams with strong understanding of business drivers, underlying data and processes
  • Lead development and reporting of model performance metrics & KPIs. Use analytical tools such as statistical analysis, segmentation, regression, and other techniques for exploratory data analysis.
  • Leverage enterprise data across a wide array of data pivots (borrower, dealer, loan characteristics, price sensitivity) to better understand dealer/borrower loan cashing behavior and friction points
  • Contribute to business cases, construct pricing test designs, and identify populations for pilot programs; analyze program performance and derive insights to help inform future modeling strategies
  • Prepare and deliver presentations summarizing sharp insights and conclusions, often for executives, in regularly‑scheduled analytics meetings chaired by the Product Manager
  • Support the creation of dashboards and visualizations to measure the impact of implemented models and provide stakeholders with self‑service tools to explore pricing strategy options and trade‑offs.
  • Leverage Agile processes to deliver on a wide range of product activities including requirements gathering, creating and updating epics/stories and model performance reporting with a strong focus on model explainability and data‑storytelling to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or related field
  • Experience delivering analytics solutions following an Agile (Scrum or Kanban) methodology
  • Hands‑on experience with standard data analytics tools and technologies (SQL, R, Python, Tableau, Alteryx, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Impala, Sqoop, RDBMS, Trifacta)
  • Familiarity with data mining, statistical modeling, machine learning and other advanced analytics methods
  • Hands‑on experience writing code and automating processes to source, transform and analyze data from multiple sources
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Graduate degree in a related field
  • Experience writing code and automating processes with structured and unstructured data
  • Familiarity with AWS and/or comparable cloud technology
