Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Reporting Data Analyst with deep expertise in Enterprise Data Warehousing (EDW), Reporting & Analytics, and Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance. This role will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for enterprise reporting, insurance data interpretation, data lineage, and business‑aligned analytics solutions.
Responsibilities- Serve as a Data & Domain SME across P&C Insurance subject areas including Policy, Claims, Billing, and Financials.
- Provide deep expertise in Commercial Lines including Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, Commercial Auto, Property, and Umbrella/Excess.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and validate reporting and data requirements.
- Translate insurance business processes into dimensional models, KPIs, metrics, and reporting solutions.
- Leverage Guidewire (Policy Center, Claim Center, Billing Center), Genius, and SAP for data analysis and lineage.
- Map policy lifecycle events including Submission, Quote, Bind, Issue, Endorsements, Renewal, Cancellation, and Reinstatement into warehouse structures.
- Analyze claims lifecycle data including reserves, payments, recoveries, and claim financials.
- Perform source-to-target mapping, data lineage analysis, and transformation validation across ETL and EDW environments.
- Develop, optimize, and validate complex SQL queries, views, and reporting datasets.
- Reconcile data between source systems and enterprise data warehouses to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Review and certify reports for business accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies across source systems, ETL processes, and reporting layers.
- Document business rules, mappings, lineage, and data definitions.
- Support UAT, reporting enhancements, and defect resolution activities.
- Guide stakeholders on data interpretation, reporting standards, and governance best practices.
- 13+ years of experience as a Reporting/Data Analyst in enterprise environments.
- 10+ years of experience working with Enterprise Data Warehousing (EDW/DWH) platforms.
- 7+ years of Property & Casualty Insurance experience, specifically Commercial Lines.
- Strong expertise in Workers’ Compensation and Claims Analytics.
- 5+ years of experience with BI and Reporting tools including Micro Strategy and Power BI.
- Hands‑on experience with Guidewire (Policy Center, Claim Center, Billing Center), Genius, and SAP.
- Advanced SQL skills with experience working on large‑scale enterprise data warehouses.
- Strong understanding of:
- Source-to-Target Mapping
- Dimensional Data Modeling
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex data concepts to both technical and business audiences.
- Proven experience working with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
- Recognized SME in Insurance Data, Reporting, and Data Warehousing.
- Self‑driven and capable of working in highly complex enterprise environments.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
