Position Summary:
Suffolk Transportation is seeking an IT Specialist responsible for cybersecurity, network and fiber infrastructure, and hands‑on end‑user support across office and operational environments.
- Monitor and maintain endpoint protection, firewalls, MFA, and email security.
- Respond to security incidents, alerts, and potential threats.
- Manage patching, vulnerability remediation, and access controls.
- Support fiber, structured cabling, switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Troubleshoot network outages and performance issues.
- Coordinate with ISPs and vendors for installs and repairs.
- Provide desktop, laptop, printer, and application support.
- Support Windows OS, Microsoft 365, email, and VoIP phones.
- Onboard and offboard users, including training and access provisioning.
- 3+ years of IT support experience.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and networking fundamentals.
- Experience in fiber or structured cabling environments.
- Cybersecurity experience and CompTIA certifications (A+, Network+, Security+).
- Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and Power Shell scripting.
Salary Range: $75,000.00 - $
