Lead POS & Payment Systems Technician role overview.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership & Management: supervise and mentor junior technicians, manage schedules, handle service escalations, implement SOPs, and monitor SLAs.
- Advanced Technical Support & Installation: oversee end‑to‑end installation and configuration of complex POS hardware and software, serve as final escalation point for technical issues, and manage upgrades and critical updates.
- Payment Processing & Integration Oversight: set up and configure credit card terminals and mobile payment devices, troubleshoot payment gateway issues, and serve as liaison with third‑party payment processors.
- Strategic System Maintenance: audit routine systems, verify backup and disaster recovery protocols, and analyze ticket trends to resolve recurring systemic issues.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in POS or IT support/installation.
- 1–2 years of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
- Expert‑level understanding of POS architecture and payment processing ecosystems.
- Advanced networking skills (TCP/IP, VLANs, routers, Wi‑Fi security configuration).
- Proficiency with Android‑based POS systems and remote management tools.
- Bilingual in English and Korean (required).
- Valid driver’s license for field service and site visits.
- Deep experience with retail‑specific POS environments and EMV terminal standards.
- Solid understanding of PCI‑DSS compliance and data security best practices.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or specialized POS vendor certifications.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to train staff and clients effectively.

Hourly range: $21.50–$39.75 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, education, experience, location and other factors.
