The opportunity

As an Agile Coach at Valtech, you will lead, coach, and facilitate our Agile Release Train (ART) as part of our Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) implementation. Your role is essential to ensuring alignment across teams, synchronizing multiple efforts, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Role responsibilities
  • Organize and lead Program Increment (PI) Planning events to align teams on shared objectives and dependencies, ensuring strategic and operational alignment. Work closely with the Release Manager.
  • Facilitate the Scrum of Scrums (SoS) to identify and address cross‑team impediments and ensure effective coordination among teams, escalating to management when needed.
  • Oversee the Product Owner Sync (PO Sync) to align priorities, manage dependencies, and support timely delivery of features.
  • Conduct Inspect & Adapt (I&A) workshops at the end of each PI, identifying systemic issues and driving continuous improvement across the ART.
  • Manage regular ART Syncs with key stakeholders to communicate progress, assess program risks, and ensure strategic alignment.
  • Act as an Agile Coach for teams within the ART, providing guidance on SAFe principles, Lean‑Agile practices, and continuous improvement.
  • Champion Agile values and ensure adherence to SAFe processes, fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency and accountability across teams.
  • Support and mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners and other Agile team members in refining practices to optimize team performance.
  • Proactively manage and resolve program‑level risks, impediments, and dependencies in collaboration with team leads, Product Managers and other stakeholders.
  • Utilize data and feedback to facilitate informed decision‑making and maintain a smooth flow of work throughout the ART.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Product Management, Solution Architects and Business Owners to ensure clear communication of priorities and alignment with organizational strategic goals.
  • Serve as a point of contact for stakeholders, providing visibility into ART progress, escalating issues as necessary and managing expectations.
  • Utilize key metrics to track ART performance, identify trends and inform actions that improve team and program effectiveness.
  • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement, leveraging feedback and data to optimize processes and remove inefficiencies within the ART.
Essential qualifications
  • Minimum 5+ years in a leadership role within Agile frameworks, preferably SAFe, as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master or similar, supporting large‑scale Agile delivery.
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills, with in depth understanding of Lean‑Agile principles and practices.
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams, manage dependencies and foster collaboration across diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret and leverage metrics to drive improvements.
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Rally or similar Agile project management platforms.
Nice to have
  • SAFe certification preferred (e.g., SPC); additional Agile certifications (e.g., CSM, PMI‑ACP) are a plus.
Benefits
  • Full time position based in the New York Area.
  • Salary range $85,000 usd – $145,000 annually, depending on experience and location.
  • Flexibility, with remote and hybrid work options (country‑dependent).
  • Career advancement, with international mobility and professional development programs.
  • Learning and development, with access to cutting‑edge tools, training and industry experts.
  • Medical, dental and vision insurance for you and your family, plus employer contributions to Health Savings Accounts.
