Company Description

Wellesley Cove Group is an AI transformation and management consulting firm that helps organizations turn data, workflows, and emerging technologies into measurable business outcomes. Built by ex-Big-4 consultants and technologists, the firm combines senior consulting discipline with a hands‑on delivery model. Core focus areas include AI transformation strategy and execution, agentic AI, finance and revenue operations optimization, customer service and procurement transformation, and ERP, data, and analytics modernization.

Role Description

We are seeking experienced Analytics and AI Consulting Managers to lead complex, client‑facing analytics engagements. This role is well suited for former Big-4 professionals who can manage teams, oversee delivery, and remain sufficiently hands‑on to review technical work, including Python code, forecasting models, and analytical outputs.

The ideal candidate combines strong consulting and project leadership experience with a practical understanding of AI and data analytics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead AI‑focused client engagements from planning through delivery.
  • Manage project teams, work streams, timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Review and provide constructive feedback on team members’ code, models, analyses, and documentation.
  • Evaluate the accuracy, quality, and business relevance of forecasting and statistical models.
  • Translate business requirements into clear analytical approaches and technical workplans.
  • Ensure analytical deliverables are accurate, reproducible, well documented, and presentation‑ready.
  • Communicate technical findings to senior business and client stakeholders in a clear, practical manner.
  • Coach and develop analysts, data scientists, and consultants.
  • Identify opportunities to use AI tools to improve analysis, delivery efficiency, and decision‑making.
Required Qualifications
  • Previous experience at a Big-4 consulting firm.
  • Manager‑level experience leading analytics, data, technology, or transformation engagements.
  • Strong knowledge of forecasting methodologies and statistical modeling.
  • Ability to review Python code and assess the quality of technical work produced by others.
  • Familiarity with common Python statistical and data‑analysis libraries.
  • Experience managing technical teams and multiple concurrent work streams.
  • Strong client‑management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to translate complex analytical concepts into actionable business recommendations.
  • Based on the East Coast, ideally in the New York City, Boston, or Atlanta markets.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using AI‑enabled tools in a consulting or analytics environment.
  • Familiarity with Claude or similar generative AI platforms.
  • Hands‑on experience with Python libraries such as pandas, Num Py, Sci Py, stats models, scikit‑learn, or related tools.
  • Experience reviewing machine‑learning, time‑series, or predictive‑modeling work.
  • Background in analytics strategy, data science, financial planning, demand forecasting, or operational forecasting.
Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be a strong consulting leader who can operate effectively between business and technical teams. This person should be comfortable leading senior client conversations, managing delivery, challenging analytical assumptions, reviewing code, and ensuring that technical outputs meet both quality and business standards.

Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in data‑focused disciplines, including Data Science, Analytics, and Analytical Skills.
  • Hands‑on experience with Machine Learning techniques, model development, and model evaluation.
  • Proficiency in Data Mining, data exploration, and extracting insights from complex, large‑scale datasets.
  • Experience leading AI and analytics projects from problem framing through implementation and measurement.
  • Proficiency with common data and analytics tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau).
  • Understanding of modern data architectures and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP) and how they support AI solutions.
  • Ability to communicate complex analytical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders and executive audiences.
  • Prior consulting, transformation, or cross‑functional project leadership experience is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, technical, or business‑related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
  • Comfort working in a remote, fast‑paced environment with multiple client engagements and changing priorities.
