Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid – 4 days onsite per week)

Our client is seeking a Senior Dev Ops Engineer to join a growing engineering organization building highly scalable, cloud‑native platforms in a fast‑paced technology environment.

In this role, you'll help design, build, and operate modern infrastructure while partnering closely with engineering teams to improve reliability, scalability, security, and developer productivity. You'll play a key role in cloud infrastructure initiatives, automation, Kubernetes operations, and disaster recovery planning.

This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands‑on technical work, ownership of critical infrastructure, and solving complex operational challenges in a modern cloud environment.

• Design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes‑based infrastructure across cloud environments
• Build and maintain Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform
• Develop and support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Manage and optimize platform services and infrastructure tooling
• Implement infrastructure security and operational best practices
• Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and operational readiness
• Contribute to automation and AI‑driven operational tooling initiatives
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve production system reliability and performance
• Participate in on‑call rotations and incident response activities
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to improve platform capabilities and developer experience

• 7+ years of experience in Dev Ops, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering
• Strong hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and related ecosystem tools
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (preferred) or AWS
• Expertise with Terraform and Infrastructure‑as‑Code methodologies
• Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines and Git Ops workflows
• Strong scripting and programming skills in Python, Go, and/or Bash
• Experience supporting highly available production environments

• Advanced Bash scripting experience
• Experience with secrets management platforms
• Experience supporting PostgreSQL, Redis, and/or MongoDB environments
• Experience with monitoring, observability, and incident management platforms
• Experience with DNS, CDN, and cloud security technologies
• Experience supporting disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives
• Experience working in regulated environments
• Strong collaboration and communication skills

• Experience in startup or high‑growth technology environments
• Healthcare or health technology experience
• Experience supporting AI/ML workloads or GPU infrastructure
• Experience with microservices architectures and API gateway technologies
• Experience building automation or AI‑powered operational tooling
