Job Overview
The Sensors, Effectors & Mission Systems (SEMS) Fleet Support team is seeking a System Administrator Field Service Representative (FSR) to support the Mid-Range Capability (MRC) program. The MRC program, developed for the Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO), bridges the gap between short‑range missile systems and long‑range strike assets, enabling precision targeting in heavily defended, contested environments. The selected candidate will serve as the Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) Battery System Administrator FSR within the SEMS Fleet Support team, performing system‑administrative functions, software installations/upgrades, and providing operational field support to Army units.
Responsibilities- Perform system administrative functions, software installations/upgrades, and provide operational field support to Army units.
- Maintain mechanical and electrical systems, perform operations support, and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Deploy to war‑zone locations if the unit is deployed.
- Travel (CONUS/OCONUS) for approximately 50% of the year.
- Willing and able to deploy with the MRC unit(s) worldwide, including travel to elevated risk locations; may be required to complete post‑offer pre‑deployment physicals.
- Interim Secret clearance required prior to start; obtain a passport within the first 60 days of employment.
- Proficient in troubleshooting, configuring, and managing network software/hardware related to routers, switches, servers, firewalls, virtual machines, and implementing access‑management controls/account‑management practices.
- Experience with both Linux and Windows system administration, including installing, patching, troubleshooting, and hardening Linux and Windows operating systems (both bare‑metal and virtual machines).
- Technical engineering degree and/or military background.
- DoD IAT II certification (CCNA‑Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CISSP, CND, SSCP).
- Experience and detailed understanding of any ground or naval missile launching platforms (e.g., VLS, HIMARS, SeaRAM, THAAD, BMD, Aegis, PAC‑3).
- Demonstrated ability to review technical manuals, drawings, and schematics.
This position requires a government security clearance; clearance level:
Secret. The candidate must be a U.S. citizen.
