We’re looking for a Senior Linux Platform Engineer to join a high-performing infrastructure team building and supporting large-scale, highly automated systems.
This is a hands‑on role where you’ll take ownership of Linux-based platforms, helping to design, optimise, and automate environments that underpin critical services. You’ll work closely with engineering and operations teams to improve performance, reliability, security, and scalability across a complex, fast-moving infrastructure.
You’ll be involved in everything from containerised platform engineering and Kubernetes environments, to deep‑dive troubleshooting at OS and network level, to building automation that removes manual processes and improves system efficiency.
A strong focus of the role is automation, resilience, and building tooling that makes infrastructure more self‑sufficient and scalable over time.
What you’ll be doing- Owning and improving large-scale Linux environments with a focus on performance and stability
- Working with container platforms and Kubernetes in privately hosted infrastructure environments
- Building automation and internal tooling using Python, Bash, and configuration management tools
- Supporting and improving CI/CD and deployment workflows across engineering teams
- Troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues across OS, network, and container layers
- Strengthening system security through hardening, access control, and secure design principles
- Collaborating with engineering, operations, and security teams on platform improvements
- Strong background in Linux systems or platform engineering (5+ years)
- Experience with Kubernetes in production environments
- Solid scripting ability in Python and Bash
- Deep understanding of Linux internals, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools (Ansible / Salt Stack / Puppet etc.)
- Strong networking fundamentals and observability experience
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern delivery workflows
