Desktop Engineer

A leading enterprise organization is seeking a Senior Desktop Engineer to support and enhance its end-user computing environment. This role will focus on endpoint engineering, device management, virtual desktop technologies, automation, patching, application support, and enterprise workplace technologies across a complex global environment.

This position is ideal for someone who combines strong desktop engineering expertise with hands‑on troubleshooting skills and enjoys supporting both strategic endpoint initiatives and high‑touch user‑facing technology needs.

• Maintain and improve endpoint engineering standards, including device management, operating system deployment, patching, and configuration management.
• Support virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and application delivery platforms across enterprise environments.
• Manage desktop and mobile device life cycles, deployment processes, and endpoint configurations.
• Support Microsoft 365 and other enterprise productivity platforms.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for end‑user computing technologies.
• Assist with application deployments, system upgrades, migrations, and technology refresh initiatives.
• Support endpoint security, compliance, and device management best practices.
• Partner with infrastructure, security, and application teams on technology initiatives and operational improvements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and knowledge base materials.
• Participate in production support, testing, deployment activities, and operational readiness efforts.
• Support occasional after‑hours maintenance, upgrades, and critical support activities.

• Experience in desktop engineering, endpoint management, or end‑user computing environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and technical problem‑solving skills.
• Experience supporting virtual desktop or application virtualization technologies.
• Hands‑on experience with endpoint management and deployment platforms.
• Microsoft 365 administration and support experience.
• Experience managing desktop configurations, policies, and endpoint controls.
• Scripting or automation experience using Power Shell or similar technologies.
• Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting enterprise‑scale environments.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.

• Experience supporting highly regulated or fast‑paced enterprise environments.
• Exposure to endpoint security technologies and compliance initiatives.
• Experience with desktop automation, application packaging, or deployment engineering.
• Familiarity with cloud‑based endpoint management solutions.
• Certifications related to Microsoft, Citrix, endpoint management, or desktop engineering technologies.
