Position OverviewAtlas SP Partners is seeking a highly strategic and execution‑oriented Technology Strategy, Planning and Governance Lead to operate as a force multiplier for the technology organization. This role sits at the intersection of technology, business strategy, and execution, driving alignment, prioritization, and coordination across key initiatives. The role will partner closely with the CTO and senior leadership to ensure the technology function operates efficiently, scales effectively, and remains tightly aligned with firm‑wide objectives.
PrimaryResponsibilities Strategic Execution & Planning
- Translate the CTO’s vision into actionable roadmaps and measurable outcomes
- Drive quarterly and annual planning processes across the technology organization
- Own end‑to‑end tracking of priority initiatives against plan, including milestones, risks, and dependencies
- Enforce prioritization across initiatives based on business value and capacity constraints
- Maintain a single source of truth for all committed work and trade‑offs
- Own technology operating cadence and governance model (leadership meetings, business reviews, reporting)
- Improve internal processes to enhance team efficiency, transparency, and accountability
- Monitor key performance metrics across technology teams
- Oversee monthly technology forums with each business and Enterprise Solutions vertical to drive alignment, surface demand, and track delivery against commitments
- Lead the Technology Steering Committee, including agenda setting, decision tracking, and follow‑through on strategic and operational priorities
- Represent technology in key committees and forums (Operating Committee, Operational Risk Forum, etc.), including preparing strategic materials, briefings, and presentations
- Own technology budget planning and tracking in partnership with Finance and Human Capital to develop and manage the technology budget
- Oversee allocation and tracking of spend across projects, vendors, and recruitment
- Evaluate ROI on technology investments and support prioritization of capital allocation
- Monitor hiring plans against budget and ensure alignment with strategic workforce planning
- Identify cost optimization opportunities while maintaining delivery and performance standards
- Support the CTO in decision‑making through data analysis, business cases, and scenario modeling
- Prepare executive‑level materials, including board presentations and strategic updates
- Oversee critical transformation initiatives (e.g., platform modernization, data strategy, automation)
- Identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks; proactively drive resolution
- Ensure effective communication and change management across stakeholders
- Drive organizational scaling initiatives including workforce planning, org design, and onboarding
- Reinforce a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement
- Support internal communications and team engagement initiatives
- 7–10+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, or technology leadership roles
- Prior experience in financial services, asset management, structured credit, or fintech preferred
- Clear understanding of software development, data platforms, and technology organizations
- Proven ability to manage complex, cross‑functional initiatives
- Exceptional problem‑solving and structured thinking abilities
- Strong executive communication and presentation skills
- Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and evaluating investment trade‑offs
- High degree of ownership with a bias toward action
- Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment
$150,000 – $200,000
This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and firm performance.
Location:
New York City office. This position requires onsite work; remote work is not an option.
