IT Procurement Consultant

Location: New York

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an IT Procurement Consultant for a RIGHT TO HIRE assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in NY, NY (Hybrid) .

Responsibilities :

• Handles complex negotiations for the procurement of IT goods, services, software and supplies to minimize the cost of purchases and to ensure business goals are met.
• Evaluates and selects suppliers to ensure that the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply are met.
• Initiates contract administration with suppliers and vendors to ensure accordance with sourcing goals.
• Reviews analysis on price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to help determine reasonable prices.
• Implements long-term supply chain strategies and develops networks to address capacity issues, etc.
• Works directly with the suppliers to assure capacity and continuity of supply for specific components.

Required Skills :

• 3-5 years of IT procurement experience, mut be aware of contracting procedures
• Bachelor's degree
• Some cost analysis from vendors (renewals for stakeholders, etc)
• Ability to review agreements (order forms, present contracts, termination clauses, renewal clauses)
• Light drafting, legal team does the heavier regulatory drafting
• Excellent comm and personality, easy/nice to work with (stakeholder communication)
• IT Procurement within IT Infrastructure (For example: Hardware and SaaS software, cloud hosting solutions and finops and telecom and messaging and security)
• Financial services is preferred
