About The Role You’ll join the Strategic Initiatives team — a newly built function at the intersection of founder vision and company execution. The team focuses on governance, cross-functional initiative monitoring, and zero-to-one special projects. You’ll report directly to the VP of Strategic Initiatives.
What You’ll Do- Special Projects & Strategic Research:
Own market entry assessments, new business model explorations, and M&A work streams end-to-end — from zero to shipped. - Build analytical frameworks from first principles and deliver sharp recommendations in days, not weeks.
- Use AI to compress research cycles and surface insights faster than traditional methods allow.
- Translate ambiguous mandates into decision-ready materials for the VP of Strategic Initiatives, CEO, and leadership.
- Initiative Monitoring:
Own the tracking system for Vibe’s most critical cross-functional initiatives, covering milestones, KPIs, owners, and blockers. - Synthesize initiative health into clear briefs for the VP of Strategic Initiatives — risks identified, options laid out, recommendations drafted.
- Governance & AI Automation:
Own the analytical backbone of Business Reviews and ExCo meetings in collaboration with Finance — every forum focused, prepared, and decision-producing. - Design and deploy AI agents to automate governance workflows: pre-read generation, initiative tracking, and action item follow-up.
- Identify where AI can eliminate manual overhead in the governance system and own the build end-to-end.
- Building the Function:
Co-design how the Strategic Initiatives team operates, what it prioritizes, and how it scales as Vibe grows. - Bring structure where none exists and push toward what a world-class strategic initiatives function actually looks like.
- 4 to 6 years of experience running something — a market, a launch, a function — with a demonstrable track record.
- Strong analytical and structured thinking: you can build a framework from scratch and turn it into a decision quickly.
- Exceptional written communication — you distill complexity into one-pagers that drive real decisions at the executive level.
- Cross-functional range: you understand Sales, Product, Finance, and Engineering, and you operate credibly across all of them.
- Demonstrated AI fluency — you’ve built or shipped AI-powered workflows, agents, or automations, and you default to automating repetitive work.
- Experience at a high-growth startup or in strategy consulting or investing context.
- Prior exposure to governance design, operating model work, or company-level OKR processes.
- Familiarity with streaming TV advertising, connected TV (CTV), or performance marketing.

For candidates in New York, NY, the pay range for this role is $160,000 - $210,000. For candidates elsewhere, compensation is determined based on local market levels.
