We are seeking a Managing Director to join our Digital Transformation Practice. The role combines deep functional, industry, and technical capabilities to help clients solve their toughest enterprise digital challenges. The Managing Director will work side‑by‑side with firm leadership and associates to serve clients and build the business, having a direct impact on the firm’s success. You will mentor and coach a group of staff, utilizing your expertise to help develop their technical and professional skills.

- Lead a team of Baker Tilly and client resources through definition and delivery of transformation projects, which may include business process and/or technology implementations.
- Develop, manage, and measure effectiveness of project approaches and plans aligned to critical phases of implementation (analyze, design, build, test, deploy) and/or long‑term roadmaps describing delivery of large‑scale solutions via a series of projects.
- Utilize entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong internal and external relationships with the goal of acquiring new clients, projects, and revenue.
- Invest in professional development individually and through participation in firm‑wide learning and development programs.
- Support the growth and development of team members, helping associates meet their professional goals.
- Lead digital transformation efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance client services, streamline operations, and improve efficiency; collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate technology seamlessly into business processes.
- Provide visionary technology leadership, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning; oversee development, implementation, and maintenance of technology solutions.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs, challenges, and goals; propose innovative technology solutions that address client pain points and deliver value.
- Collaborate with C‑suite executives and external technology vendors, fostering partnerships with startups and industry experts.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or business; master’s or advanced degree desirable.
- Ten years’ experience providing senior leadership within complex technology or digital/product organizations; extensive experience in business development within a professional services firm desired.
- Five or more years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates.
- Ability to decompose scope into detailed activities and deliverables and conduct work‑package handoff to delivery resources.
- Experience with full‑lifecycle application development (requirements gathering, use‑case development, system analysis, design, integration, testing, deployment).
- Experience with Agile software delivery tools and techniques (Scrum, JIRA, Confluence) preferred.
- Demonstrated management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project‑management, and communication skills.
- Strong client service orientation, continuous learning commitment, ethical knowledge and a sense of urgency.
- Must be able to work outside core business hours for client engagements and travel nationally as needed.
