Job Description & Responsibilities

Persistent Systems is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst, AI, to join our team in our NYC headquarters. The Business Intelligence Analyst, AI will help us to integrate, test and evaluate AI systems into our daily business operations. As a data translator, you will dig into complex datasets to identify trends, create visualizations, and help leadership make data‑driven decisions.

• Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI or Tableau
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract data from relational databases
• Perform data mapping and transformation to ensure datasets are accurate, consistent, and ready for analysis
• Analyze historical data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for business growth
• Partner with department heads (Marketing, Finance, Ops) to define KPIs and reporting requirements
• Monitor automated reports for data discrepancies and perform root‑cause analysis on any issues found

• 2 to 5 years in a data analytics or business intelligence role
• Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, finance, or a related field
• Experience utilizing AI evaluation tools such as LangSMith, Arize Phoenix, Braintrust, Langfuse, Maxim AI and OpenAI Evals
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and at least one major BI tool (Power BI, Tableau or Looker)
• Sharp eye for detail and a “detective” mindset when validating data
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles for data storytelling
• Must have or be able to obtain a United States Security Clearance

• Basic proficiency in Python or R for advanced statistical analysis
• Experience with Pytorch, Tensor Flow, Onnx, or similar
• Experience with data modeling concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema)
• DF-100/PL-300 (Microsoft Data Analyst) or Tableau Desktop Specialist certification

The total compensation for this role ranges from $133,000 to $166,000 per year based on individual qualifications. Eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.
