Product Design Manager - Design Team

Role Overview

We’re currently seeking a Product Designer to join our Experience Design team at Capital One.

• Combine craft expertise and leadership skills to co-create innovative solutions to complex problems and influence product strategy.
• Demonstrate a high degree of skill in product design across interaction, visual, and service design; collaborate with cross‑functional partners, and create artifacts such as journey maps, blueprints, high‑fidelity designs, and prototypes.
• Lead design projects, directing and delegating work for junior team members while mentoring and helping to mature the overall product design practice.
• Navigate partners and stakeholder needs, integrating data, research insights, scalability, and technical constraints to focus on customer‑centered and inclusive design.
• Apply business insight, understanding of customers, competitors, and market trends to shape product strategy.
• Use knowledge of technology, data capabilities, and emerging tech to inform work and help the team move faster while navigating technical limitations.
• Leverage partnerships across lines of business to foster collaboration and share solutions, bridging gaps and driving product strategy.
• Present work across levels and functions using human‑centered frameworks, data, and research insights to influence strategic decision‑making at senior levels.

• At least 5 years of experience in a Product Design role.
• At least 5 years of experience with design and prototyping tools such as Figma.

• At least 6 years of experience in a Product Design role.
• At least 6 years of experience with design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
• Experience working with and contributing to an established design system.
• Experience collaborating with product, technology, and business partners.
• Experience leading design projects or teams.
• Experience working in heavily regulated, data‑heavy problem spaces.

New York, NY: $179,700 - $205,100;
