Eligibility
Eligible candidates are those who have passed and are reachable on the "Computer Aide" exam #2052, or those who are permanently titled "Computer Aide." Please indicate this information on your resume if applicable.
Responsibilities- Ensure proper functioning of computer equipment.
- Maintain logs of computer use and produce reports on production and machine utilization.
- Perform related functions required for the continued and efficient operation of a computer.
- Provide service desk and/or desktop support.
- Prepare spreadsheets and reports.
- Assist with computer work requiring assistance.
- Four‑year high school diploma or equivalent.
- Six months of full‑time mainframe, mini‑computer, or LAN/WAN computer operations experience, or service desk/desktop support experience acquired in the past 1 year and 3 months.
- Graduation from an approved technical school (≈675 hours) with specialization in mainframe/mini‑computer operations and/or technical support acquired in the past 5 years and 3 months, or a currently valid A+ or Network+ certification.
- Associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college, including or supplemented by 12 semester credits in computer technology.
- Education and/or experience that is equivalent to any of the above; undergraduate credit may substitute for experience on the basis of 30 semester credits from an accredited college, including or supplemented by six credits in computer technology for three months of experience. All candidates must have a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Willingness to learn technologies such as Microsoft Azure App Services, Power Apps, Power BI, ASP.NET.
