Overview

The Legal Knowledge Management Coordinator will support KM Attorneys and the Legal Knowledge Management group in improving client service by developing, implementing, and maintaining knowledge sharing systems. The individual will work with KM Attorneys to coordinate various projects related to knowledge capture and sharing, legal technologies, data management and visualization processes, and other initiatives, and will act as a liaison between attorneys and support staff to execute Legal KM goals.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with managing the Legal KM project portfolio and implementing solutions to strengthen knowledge management across the firm.
  • Support initiatives, ongoing projects, programs, and track usage and quality standards for KM tools.
  • Assist with the implementation phase of solutions developed by the KM group and coordinate with KM managers, project managers, and IT training to execute the support model once the tool is in production.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to inform them of project status and maintain ongoing support for assigned tasks.
  • Support day‑to‑day operations of the firm’s KM tools, including content maintenance, database organization, data visualization, experience records management, oversight of knowledge libraries, and matter tracking.
  • Champion the use of Legal KM tools and resources and assist with implementing communications strategies for Legal KM priorities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 1–3 years of relevant experience.
  • Good attention to detail, strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment, able to handle multiple projects and re‑prioritize work as needed.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with individuals at all levels.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Experience with Generative AI, data visualization, database management systems, presentation and spreadsheet software (preferred).
  • Experience with Knowledge Management and skills with data visualization tools (desirable).
  • Ability to work with professional staff in a multi‑office environment.
  • Background in business, law or equivalent (desirable).
Compensation and Total Rewards Package

Ropes & Gray offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package, including health and well‑being benefits, personal and professional development, career growth opportunities, and a collegial culture. The role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance and the actual offered rate will be determined by qualifications, experience, location, market data, and internal equity.

Boston: $60,500 - $87,750
New York City: $66,000 - $95,700

Working Conditions

This position requires hybrid on‑site presence as an essential function of the role. Consistent and predictable on‑site presence is required for business continuity, professional development, and effective collaboration.
